Junior Analyst/ Developer

Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our IT team as a full-time Junior Analyst/ Developer. We are seeking a Junior Systems / Data Analyst to support data collection, system documentation, and process discovery across our business applications and internal tools. This role is intentionally broad and exploratory in nature and is ideal for an early-career professional who enjoys learning how systems work, organizing information, and turning ambiguity into clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Research and inventory existing internal applications, tools, and workflows
  • Identify where applications are used, who relies on them, and for what purpose
  • Locate source code, scripts, databases, or configuration files associated with internal or legacy systems
  • Analyze basic data flows between systems to understand how information is created, modified, and consumed
  • Create and maintain clear technical and functional documentation for internal systems
  • Document workflows, data sources, dependencies, and known issues
  • Translate technical findings into business-friendly documentation where appropriate
  • Help reduce reliance on undocumented or single-user knowledge
  • Assist with basic data validation and reconciliation across systems
  • Gather data needed for reporting, audits, or process improvement initiatives
  • Support KPI or operational reporting projects as requested
  • Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across applications
  • Assist with minor updates to workflows, scripts, or system configurations under guidance
  • Help test changes or enhancements to internal applications
  • Support senior staff with system upgrades, migrations, or clean-up activities
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or standardize existing processes
  • Work closely with IT staff and business stakeholders to understand system usage
  • Ask questions, document answers, and surface risks or gaps
  • Continuously build knowledge of business systems, databases, and integrations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Skills:

 

Required

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of databases and data concepts
  • SQL or database querying experience
  • Ability to document technical information clearly and accurately
  • Willingness to work with partially undocumented or legacy systems
  • Strong curiosity and desire to learn

 

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Exposure to business systems such as ERP, HR, or financial applications
  • Familiarity with technical documentation or process mapping
  • Introductory experience with scripting, APIs, or workflow tools
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience in IT or data analysis

 

Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience

 

Work Environment

 

  • General office environment

Pay Range: $70,000-$85,000 annually
