Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Planning team as a full-time Associate Planner.  In this role, you will assist with coordinating operations between various elements of demand, production, and inventory operations. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple departments and perform analysis. You'll work closely with the production teams and what you do will have an important impact on the company and our customers. Every day, you will be responsible for delighting the customer, practicing continuous improvement and operating within our company’s “icare” values while growing and developing in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating activities involving setting inventory levels, forecasting demand
  • Establish production schedules, such as running reports, analyzing data, and providing basic operational recommendations
  • Run and maintain basic or standard models to review product and customer demand
  • Learn how to establish new forecasting model
  • Process and approve standard shop order handling, which includes reserving materials, ensuring work guidelines are included, and printing and distributing orders
  • Assist with planning shop orders, such as consolidating, releasing, and splitting orders
  • Assist with developing material resource planning requirements for a product line, reserves material
  • Help develop product group reports, developing production schedules, capacity requirements and planning bills
  • Provide general customer service for sales, purchasing, operations, logistics, regarding forecast and scheduling levels
  • Work with other planners to resolve sensitive customer or resource needs.
  • Assist with developing reports for programs, inventory and warehouse levels
  • Respond to standard questions and concerns from employees regarding the status of customer orders, inventory and order points, and the coordination of production.
  • Follow operational policies and procedures to examine inventory levels, investigate problems, and respond to issues

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Three years of office or operational support experience within an inventory, warehouse, or production environment
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware and software which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Operations Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • Understanding of basic operational support principles and practices (inventory, warehouse, production),
  • Experience preparing reports and manipulating queries
  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with shipping process documentation
