Overview

Role Summary:

 

As a Training Specialist you will successfully lead the company training to ensure our employees are compliant with all internal training. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing, facilitating, and delivering our comprehensive training programs. The Training Specialist will collaborate with Management companywide to assess the training needs/requirements, and the timely scheduling of effective training sessions.

Responsibilities

Role:

  • Successfully facilitate classroom, on the job, train-the-trainer, onboarding and cross training sessions for employees.
  • Proactively prepare and deliver required course materials for training sessions.
  • Effectively collaborate with Management to meet organizational goals and objectives.
  • Actively and continually providing production employee’s training in a simulated work environment.
  • Effectively perform “train-the-trainer” sessions for line-level trainers using Standard Work.
  • Competently collaborate with subject matter experts in gathering and validating training content.
  • Proactively maintains accurate training records and documentation.
  • Lead and deliver training sessions to employees, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience.
  • Continuously remain up to date on industry standards, trends, and best practices to enhance training methodologies.
  • Proactively and continually provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure successful implementation of training initiatives.

Qualifications

 Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven experience as a Training Specialist or similar role.
  • Competent understanding of instructional learning theories.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly proficient in using training tools and technologies.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Outstanding team, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to align with training objectives and execute the deliverables to meet business goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office communications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point); and other applicable applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • J-Soldering Certification.
  • IPC Certification.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience using multi-media platforms, visual/audio recording devices and editing software to produce content.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.

Education:

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of experience facilitating or creating training.
  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:

  • General office, engineering and production floor, and manufacturing environments.
  • Some Domestic Travel might be 10% or less, as needed.
  • This position is a regular, full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
