Project Manager

Overview

Project Managers at Minco work closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Product Marketing Management, and Sales, every day, to ensure successful planning, preparation, delivery, implementation and execution of complex, cross-functional, paid-customer project engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately develops and implements comprehensive customer-paid project plans for Minco, including, but not limited to:  scope of paid-customer project engagement, assess and recommend people and production resource requirements, develop customer project schedules and delivery timelines, assess and develop critical path, assess Sales and Engineering statements of work, and challenge Engineering budgets for each assigned customer-paid project.
  • Leads Minco team members for each assigned customer-paid project.
  • Assigns tasks to individuals and manages each individual’s successful and timely completion of task assignments.
  • Manages project schedules and Customer-On-Time delivery timelines.
  • Manages cost reporting and resolution management to ensure Minco’s intended profit margins are met or exceeded.
  • Timely and comprehensively identifies customer-paid project risks, develops solutions to eliminate or mitigate, gains Minco concurrence, and implements solutions.
  • Involved with New Product Introduction and Continuous Improvement processes identified by Minco management, as well as identifying and creating new and better solutions for Minco.
  • Identifies solutions and successfully implements customer-paid projects with and through fellow Minco-employee project team members.
  • Identifies, assesses, evaluates and creates solutions for customer-paid project resources, constraints, communications, challenges, and/or customer-paid project scope changes or deviations from original customer-paid project engagement, budget and/or delivery schedule.
  • Proactively communicates clear, concise, timely, and comprehensively to fellow Minco-employee customer-paid project team members.
  • Performs other duties as identified.

Qualifications

Experience

 

  • A Minimum of five (5) years leading cross-functional customer-paid project engagements with a manufacturing company.

 

Education

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Project Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, and/or Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • Exceptional project management, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, SharePoint, MS Office,…)
  • Familiar with all Microsoft applications and ability to learn more.
  • Familiar with database software and ERP systems, a plus.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools, a plus.
  • Familiar with AS9100 and ISO9001 requirements, a plus.
  • Familiar with quality and product development requirements of Medical, Aerospace, and Defense industries, a plus.

  • Experience working with globally.
  • Domestic and/or International Travel might be twenty percent or more, as needed.

 

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
