Supervisor, Facilities and Equipment

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate status on equipment and facilities maintenance projects, determines, and implements adjustments necessary to meet operational demand or avoid disruption
  • Work collaboratively with operational leaders and receives direction on complex or unique circumstances from Leadership Team.
  • Ensures thorough preventive maintenance equipment plans are in place and completed on schedule.   
  • Provides well-reasoned options and recommendations for equipment and facility challenges and opportunities that balance quality, timeliness, and cost - always focused on the long-term profitability of the Company.
  • Negotiates contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations.
  • Provides direction to staff to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.  
  • Supervises staff in the areas of hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing recognition and career development opportunities.
  • Manages the implementation and administration of safety and environmental programs and regulations within the facility.
  • Coordinate activities among agencies to identify proactive actions, verify compliance, resolve situations while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with all.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in a technical course of study
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive equipment maintenance and related facility experience, including five years of experience managing employees and overseeing projects.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • General knowledge of facilities, equipment maintenance, environmental and safety policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships with employees and management
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to collaborate with business leaders across the organization, coordinating activities across groups
  • A sense of urgency, the ability to meet deadlines and project outcomes

  • Experience designing and implementing curricula
  • Experience as a liaison between multiple functional roles within an organization
  • Experience conducting analysis, and reporting

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
