    We are looking for someone with strong Manufacturing, ERP, and Data Analysis skills to grow our Information Technology department. In this full-time IT Business Analyst position, you will work with business leaders to improve processes and data analysis across the company. You will participate and lead cross-functional projects, work with multiple technologies, drive continuous improvement, solve difficult business problems, and increase technical knowledge across the organization.     Minco is a global provider of thermal, temperature sensing and control solutions, and flex circuit solutions for medical, aerospace, defense, oil and gas, power generation and other high-reliability applications. Our experienced team couples advanced product technologies, expert design and engineering services, and a deep understanding of our customers’ applications to provide comprehensive solutions that meet exacting requirements for quality, reliability and performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Improve business processes throughout the company, prioritized by company initiatives
    • Participate and lead medium to large projects to successful completion.
    • Support core Minco applications including IFS, ERP, and Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence products
    • Gather requirements by conducting interviews, work flow analysis, process analysis, and observation sessions to understand business problems
    • Design solutions using existing and new technologies
    • Create, update, and follow validation and verification plans
    • Create cost/benefit scenarios for projects and change requests
    • Utilize risk management in all activities to ensure success.
    • Balance multiple deadlines and prioritize key deliverables
    • Solve technical problems and recommend solutions
    • Provide training to employees

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
    • Four years or more of progressive experience in Information Technology

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
    • IFS or comparable ERP system experience
    • Exceptional organizational and analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with business intelligence and other data analysis projects.
    • Able to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
    • Strong communication skills, (verbal, listening, presentation and written)
    • Able to apply fundamental information technology principles and practices
    • Understand database system fundamentals, strong SQL skills.
    • Understand basics of project management

    Professional Skills Required:

     

    • Experience delivering information, both informally and through well-organized presentations
    • Able to work well in a team-orientated environment
    • A proven track record of developing strong business relationships
    • Ability to influence without authority
    • Understanding of basic business operations with the ability to learn to solve complex technical issues

    This is a full time position in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
