    Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Automation Department as an intern. In this role, you will support machine design and automation activities. You'll have the opportunity to work on CAD Detailing, machine fabrication, data analysis and writing test reports. You'll work closely with other engineers and what you do will have an important impact on the company and our customers.  Every day, you will be responsible for delighting the customer, practicing continuous improvement and operating within our company’s “icare” values while growing and developing in your role.


    This will be a part time internship starting Fall 2018 with option for full time during school breaks/summer.


    • CAD detailing
    • Machine fabrication
    • Data analysis and reporting
    • Create automation process development
    • Write test reports for the engineering team


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Actively enrolled in an engineering degree program
    • Freshman level completed toward an engineering degree


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ability to work with a team as well as on independent projects
    • Experience reading blue prints, schematics, and other displays
    • Capable of applying technical engineering concepts and understanding equipment operation
    • Capable of applying mathematical calculations involving basic statistics and operational data
    • Capable of solving basic technical problems and recommending solutions
    • Experience with applicable engineering software and programs
    • CAD experience, solid modeling is a plus
    • Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Ability to work 15 to 20 hours per week during school after full time summer hours are complete.


    Professional Skills Qualifications:

    • Ability to work extend periods of time on a computer
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills


    Internships are considered temporary positions and are located at our headquarters in Fridley, MN.
