    • Perform a variety of assignments in the areas of staffing, FMLA/leaves, employee relations, benefits, compensation and rewards & recognition
    • Assist in full life-cycle recruitment process for a small number of client groups
    • Coordinate, support and/or administer leave programs including FLMA, short-term/long-term disability and worker’s compensation
    • Coordinate and support performance management processes for client groups
    • Assist assigned groups with job descriptions evaluation and career pathing
    • Conduct exit interviews for client groups
    • Assist manager in monitoring and tracking attrition, and provide reports for program development and modification
    • Occasionally serve as a backup for payroll administration and reception
    • Work with management to address and resolve employee relations concerns in a timely, consistent and responsive manner
    • Foster employee engagement and address and/or escalate issues to the next level of management for assisted resolution
    • Support and promote a positive employee work environment through strong relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Respond to questions and concerns from employees in regard to human resources programs and services; resolve questions, concerns and work with management regarding sensitive or potential issues
    • Represent the company as a visible, approachable and professional HR practitioner



    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field
    • Associate HR Generalist: One year of Human Resources experience or exposure to HR through internships or other HR-related project work
    • HR Generalist: Three years of professional Human Resources experience

    Note: this position will be filled as an Associate HR Generalist or HR Generalist based on candidate qualifications.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior working experience as an HR generalist supporting Finance, IT, or Manufacturing
    • Experience administering leaves programs including FMLA, short/long-term disability and workers compensation
    • Exposure to payroll and/or benefits administration
    • Proficient Computer skills - Microsoft office applications, especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and HRIS.
    • Experience responding to and resolving employee questions and concerns
    • Good basic project management, organizational, analytical and presentation skills
    • Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities
    • Experience interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable Federal & State laws, rules, and regulations
    • HR certification or interest in obtaining it is a plus

    This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
