Do you enjoy supporting production to improve quality by solving and mitigating issues? Then this hands-on Quality Technician position is for you! Every day you will help Minco succeed by working closely with production and engineering, supporting scrap/rework reduction activities, using problem solving tools to fix issues, participating in continuous improvement efforts, and living Minco’s icare values -- Integrity, Communication, Accountability, Respect, & Energy.


  • Communicate quality issues and concerns with production and engineering staff
  • Provide daily support to production by investigating non-conformances
  • Participate on problem solving teams to support Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA)
  • Coordinate internal activities for returns (RMAs).
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting on product and process quality data to support scrap and rework reduction activities
  • Perform failure analysis on internal and external defective product (non-conformances and customer returns) and generates failure analysis reports
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities with production (i.e., waste reduction activities, reducing lead-time, and maintaining 5S standards, and visual management).
  • Generate ECR/ECOs to revise inspection and other production documentation in support of corrective action and continuous improvement activities
  • Work with production quality inspection staff to provide support for inspection activities and criteria development
  • Create and maintain quality metrics and reports
  • Help with quality process and documentation including control, test and inspection plans
  • Conduct basic quality planning tasks: Gage R&R studies, data collection, SPC, evaluating process quality conformance and use of measurement equipment and instruments



Basic Qualifications:


  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Two years of technical or advanced experience in a manufacturing environment



Preferred Qualifications:


  • 8D Experience
  • Familiar with ISO9001 or ASO9100C
  • Experience writing revisions to basic inspection and floor instruction documentation
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and test equipment
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma Skills
  • Microsoft office applications experience (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint)

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
