Do you have previous experience working at Minco? Do you pride yourself in building and producing quality parts while earning competitive wages? Then this Assembler position is for you! Every day you will help Minco succeed by assembling standard or recurring components, weld, solder and work with small parts, a microscope and chemicals. You'll have the opportunity to be a key part of our production process. You'll work closely with other assemblers, manufacturing technicians and production supervisors; what you do will have an impact on the company and our customers by living Minco’s icare values -- Integrity, Communication, Accountability, Respect, & Energy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand written and verbal instructions for work product specifications, and part tolerances to understand the steps, tools, and equipment required to assemble components and product elements
  • Cross train in other areas and across product families.
  • Weld, solder and work with small parts, a microscope and chemicals
  • Verify appropriate tools, materials, and equipment are available to complete assigned work
  • Select and operates tools and equipment
  • Comply with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment, quality products, and efficient operations
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and enter data regarding materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other operations to ensure accuracy
  • Identify quality at the source and communicate with production leads, supervisors, co-workers, maintenance, quality control, warehousing, and other departments to ensure quality products
  • Handle and label tool, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices
  • Handle and label hazardous materials and waste based on area of assignment
  • Receive training and guidance regarding quality, equipment, and operations
  • Effectively apply feedback, changes, and process updates
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Train others on process, equipment, and work instructions within the area
  • Identify required information and data to complete standardized paperwork
  • Our current business environment requires that employees speak, read and write English at an 8th grade level or higher

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  •  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in welding, fine wire assembly and lamination
  • Experience with potting chemicals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Continuous Improvement training or experience
  • Machine maintenance experience
  • J-Standard Certified

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
