Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Flex Business Unit as a full-time Inspector.  In this role, you will perform quality inspections at the source. You'll have the opportunity to make quality judgments for our products.   You'll work closely with quality and our assemblers and what you do will have an important impact on the company and our customers.  Every day, you will be responsible for delighting the customer, practicing continuous improvement and operating within our company’s “icare” values while growing and developing in your role.


  • Read standard work instructions to understand inspection and product standards
  • Perform standard or recurring inspections such as length, dimension, and size, visual inspection for imperfections and conformance to standards
  • Operate fundamental equipment, such as microscope, micrometer and caliper to perform inspection and verify conformance to standards
  • Perform basic calculations on test results to determine if product is within proper standards
  • Complete and enter a variety of forms, logs, and reports detailing test results based on operating procedures
  • Handle and label tools, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices
  • Comply with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment, quality products, and efficient operations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • May interact with production, maintenance, or other plant personnel to communicate test results, receive guidance, and provide feedback
  • Cross train on laser equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Four years of Inspection or related manufacturing production experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Experience performing manual movements requiring dexterity and motor control
  • Ability to follow directions under limited supervision
  • Experience recognizing visual elements, such as color, measurements and shapes
  • J-Std. experience
  • Microsection experience
  • Previous Inspection experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience with hand soldering and using small tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers and pin gauges
  • Proficiency in IPC-600 requirements/IPC Certification 
  • Experience reading and understanding work instruction, standards, and requirements

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
