Do you enjoy assembling a variety of products while working as part of a team? Then this 2nd shift Assembler position is for you! Every day you will help Minco succeed by using your skills to assemble, solder and weld products, practicing continuous improvement, working with a great group of people to help meet customer needs,  and living Minco’s icare values -- Integrity, Communication, Accountability, Respect, & Energy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assemble standard or recurring parts per instructions for work product specifications and part tolerances
  • Use a microscope to inspect and assemble small parts and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Solder and weld parts as needed
  • Work as part of a team with other assemblers, manufacturing technicians, and leads to ensure product is completed accurately and shipped on time
  • Cross train in other areas as needed
  • Verify appropriate tools, materials, and equipment are available to complete assigned work
  • Operate tools and equipment, including small hand tools
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and enter data regarding materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other operations to ensure accuracy
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and communicate with production leads and team
  • Handle and label tools, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices
  • Effectively apply feedback, changes, and process updates
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • May provide training on process, equipment, and work instructions within the area

 

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in welding, fine wire assembly and lamination
  • Experience with potting chemicals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Continuous Improvement training or experience
  • Machine maintenance experience

 

Professional Skills Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing assigned work
  • Organized and detail orientated

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
