Do you enjoy performing inspections to assure supplied products meet quality requirements? Then this Receiving Inspector position is for you! Every day you will help Minco succeed by inspecting purchased parts and materials, using your knowledge of measurement equipment and instruments to verify requirements, working with a strong Quality team to support our continuous improvement culture, and living Minco’s icare values -- Integrity, Communication, Accountability, Respect, & Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspections of purchased parts, materials and products.
  • Use measurement equipment and instruments to verify requirements.
  • Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Verify documentation and certificates of compliance.
  • Document and enter inspection information into material management system.
  • Document and contain nonconforming product; initiate Material Review Board (MRB) reports.
  • May participate on problem solving teams to support Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities with production (i.e., waste reduction activities, reducing lead-time, and maintaining 5S standards, and visual management).
  • Works with production quality inspection staff to provide support for inspection activities and criteria development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At one year of manufacturing experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience using and revising basic inspection instructions and documentation.
  • Understanding of mathematical calculations involving basic statistics and operational data.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report data
  • Familiarity and experience with ISO9000 or AS9100c quality systems.
  • Familiarity the use and application of measurement and test equipment for part & product inspection
  • Good PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with an ERP system (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle)
  • Continuous improvement or lean skills

This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
