Minco is seeking a Senior Planner for our operations planning for the Flex Circuits Business Unit.   This person will support the business with daily activities: review shop order requisitions; create, release, reserve, print and manage shop orders; expedite materials; review planning data for inventory managment; review customer forecast; update master schedules based on forecast; monitor and update customer order line notifications; respond to email request; assist with planning and production reports, and other planning tasks as needed.  This role will allow us to meet our current  business plan and our projected growth goal.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with supply chain and inventory to determine proper production orders
  • Analyze production, sales and customer demand in order to ensure proper inventory levels for production
  • Develop reports for production schedules and capacity requirements
  • Provide accurate lead times for newly ordered and existing products
  • Use current production models and inventory management to improved processes and drive for results
  • Serve as daily contact to sales, material management, scheduling and logistics for operational forecast and distribution questions
  • Facilitate daily production meetings to ensure On Time Delivery goals are reached
  • Assist inventory in the maintenance of raw material, work in process and sub-assemblies 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in business or related field 
  • 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing production planning position
  • 3 or more years of experience applying forecasting and manufacturing distribution principles and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience applying manufacturing production and operational principles and practices.
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Working knowledge of various manufacturing principles and ideologies including MRP, Kanban, Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Supply Chain Management
  • Experience with Quality standards and practices
  • Intermediate skills in Excel (sorting, filtering, auto summation, pivot tables, look-up tables, graphs and formulas)
  • APICS – CPIM certification – Needed for advancement
  • Experience with IFS ERP software
  • Six Sigma experience or training
  • Lean manufacturing experience

Professional Skills Requirements:

  • Able to work with a team as well as on independent projects
  • Able to analyze data and make cost efficient decisions

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to work with computers for extended periods of time
  • Able to carry 20 lbs

This position is a full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota
