Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Inside Sales department as a full-time Inside Sales Representative. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service while maintaining solid business relationships with your customers and other departments within the organization. You'll work closely with the entire sales organization and what you do will have an important impact on the company and our customers. Every day, you will be responsible for delighting the customer, practicing continuous improvement and operating within our company’s “icare” values while growing and developing in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Assists sales department with developing sales or account strategies for customers assigned to the Inside Sales team, aids and supports the account strategy.
  • Applies a basic understanding of products and services across the company to assist customers; may receive guidance on complex issues from Inside Sales Team or technical staff.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to customers.
  • Develops strong business relationships with customer contacts, works to understand business conditions, future needs, documents findings, and informs Sales of potential opportunities.
  • Responds to inquiries and/or complaints regarding standard products and/or services, contract requirements, quotes, specifications, delivery dates, adjustments to bills/orders, and other account management questions; requires an in-depth scope of knowledge regarding accounts.
  • Develops, reviews, tracks, and completes documentation as appropriate regarding interaction with customers; responds to questions and concerns to assist with the sales process and customer satisfaction which comply with operational policies and procedures.
  • Completes appropriate documentation to facilitate the order process and responds to questions as necessary; ensures forms and documents
  • Receives order information from phone, fax, web-portal, email, or other sales/customer service personnel and enters required information into the system; follows up as necessary to clarify orders and information.
  • Continually contributes to the improvement of Minco’s products, processes and services to meet or exceed customer requirements and quality objectives.
  • Develops knowledge, skills and abilities in the areas of Continuous Improvement (Lean, Standard Work, Six Sigma, Innovation, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One plus years of experience in order processing, data entry, customer service or contract administration. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in managing customer service calls and e-mails in a fast-paced, knowledge-based technical customer service environment.
  • Two or more years of experience in order & quote processing, data entry, customer service or contract administration.
  • Ability to use an ERP system and basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience providing customer service to customers and transactions.
  • Excellent organization, time management and customer services skills.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, written communications skills utilized in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment a plus.
  • Ability to maintaining customer relationships.
  • Experience monitoring and growing key accounts, identifying customer problems and concerns in a timely manner, developing correspondence and communications.
  • Experience servicing accounts and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and process requirements.
  • Ability to work with other departments and groups.
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures to difficult situations.
  • Ability to input data directly on the computer while speaking to customer on the phone.
  • Knowledge of Minco’s products and industry.
  • Microsoft office applications experience (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact.

 This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
