Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our Inside Sales department as a full-time Inside Sales Account Manager. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive revenue growth and maximize profit by supporting accounts assigned to our Manufacturing Representatives using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence new and existing customers and assist them in applying business solutions to meet their needs. You'll work closely with the entire sales organization and what you do will have an important impact on the company and our customers. Every day, you will be responsible for delighting the customer, practicing continuous improvement and operating within our company’s “icare” values while growing and developing in your role.


Account Management:

  • Develops and manages new or existing accounts and/or markets as assigned.      
  • Develops, formulates, implements and ensures attainment of strategic business goals and  growth plans for selective assigned accounts jointly with appropriate business unit leaders.
  • Builds strong, long-term, ongoing business relationships with key customer contacts and assigned accounts.
  • Creates and maintains account profiles for existing and potential customers as assigned.
  • Leads effort to initiate and develop new product applications at assigned accounts.
  • Ensure assigned customers receive appropriate technical support.
  • Collaborates with management team to ensure proper project execution.
  • Maintains all communication, internal and external, using best practices and available account management tools.
  • Together with management, identifies potential opportunities to transfer certain accounts to the most effective Sales channel.
  • Collaborates with the Inside Sales Team to complete quotes and perform order entry.


New Business Development, Qualification and Sales:

  • Researches and develops lists of potential customers and maintains industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Develops and implements account qualification processes for potential customers.
  • Identifies decision makers at targeted leads to start sales process for prospective customers
  • Calls prospective customers and establishes buying influences and cycles, customer needs, and builds a foundation for a long-term customer supplier relationship.
  • Determine revenue goals for each account and/or p0roduct and collaborate with appropriate Product Groups to expand opportunity and increase revenue.
  • Establish buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts.
  • Provides up-to-date market pricing, and quote generation to assigned accounts.
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Drives revenue growth and maximizes profits at assigned accounts. 


Business Management:

  • Collaborate with management and staff to formulate and implement policies, procedures, sales plans and production forecasts in support of company financial goal
  • Participate in pricing strategy development
  • Participate in development of new products, modification of existing products, & termination of ineffective product
  • Gather, analyze, and share customer intelligence information with management; works with other staff to identify future customer need
  • Attend sales group meetings to share sales targets, forecasts, technical information and competitive intelligence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of demonstrated progressive account management and sales experience in a manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to use an ERP system and basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience providing customer service to customers and transactions.
  • Excellent organization, time management and customer services skills.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, written communications skills utilized in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment a plus.
  • Ability to maintaining customer relationships.
  • Experience monitoring and growing key accounts, identifying customer problems and concerns in a timely manner, developing correspondence and communications.
  • Experience servicing accounts and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and process requirements.
  • Ability to work with other departments and groups.
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures to difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of Minco’s products and industry.
  • Microsoft office applications experience (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external customer contact.


This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
